Weight goals

I have decided to gain 4 kilos before the summer. I know it probably sounds odd, usually the opposite what people wants to do just before the bikini season, but for me it is due to health reasons. I need to gain weight to get back to my “normal weight” and to feel “physically healthy” again. Last year before my pregnancy started I was 52 kilos and after everything we went through I went down to 49, then luckily up to 50.5 during christmas, but now I am down on 50 again. My weight goal before the summer starts would be 53,5 or preferable 54 kilos.

For me it is very frustrating to not gain weight easily, the same as for people struggling to loose weight, it’s kind of the same thing and it’s hard, but everything is possible as long as you put your energy and mind into it 🙂 My boyfriend is my cheerleader and he really encourage me to gain weight, making suggestions to do gym (as it’s always better to combine gym +diet) and helping me to be aware that I may be eating too small portions sometimes, so it’s really helpful to have that support 🙂

Small things I have added in my diet to gain weight:

Peanutbutter; it is off course very fattening, but it’s also superhealthy if you buy a natural peanutbutter without sugar and palmoil.

Nuts as snacks; nuts are incredible healthy and the best is that they are full of calories, I love walnuts, pistachios, cashews, almonds and sunflowerseeds which are all also good for the skin and hair.

Coconutoil; I try to eat a spoon a day with greek yoghurt for example, it’s also supergood for my skin and overall health.

Almondmilk; I have it in my tea or in a smoothie, it’s not as healthy as people think it is as it contains a lot of sugar so it gives a lot of extra calories.

Bread; I love baguettes which are really not the healthiest options of breads, but every morning I start with oatbread which also contains a lot of fiber and not so much carbs, but I try to eat some kind of bread to every meal during the day to get some extra calories.

Pasta; I love pasta, but especially pasta with cheese or any cream sauce like pasta carbonara, it is a perfect meal for those who want to gain weight.

I also think that the best thing is not to stress about it because sometimes stress can have the opposite effect. Still eat healthy, but bigger portions and lots of snacks 🙂 The last few days though I have been eating a lot of chickenwings, nachos, bacon and hamburger so hopefully that helped my weight goal a little 🙂



Girls night

Saturday evening we had a girls night home which was needed after Friday’s party. I can’t remember when I had a girls night last time so it was really nice to just be home and cook, and off course talk A lot. We cooked homemade sushi which was superyummie! It’s nice to know I am not the only one who has these sushi cravings 🙂 It was actually superfun to roll the sushi and we did them with mango, cucumber, avocado, salmon and fried onion and enjoyed the sushi with some nice spanish wine.


Things I am into right now

Converse shoes; after the winter it’s always nice to wear sneakers again and I love my blue and white converse shoes, they are comfortable and match with so many outfits. I especially love white converse, they are timeless sneakers and match with everything without looking too sporty.



Coconut oil; I use it for almost everything, in smoothies, as frying oil, as face- and hairmask, as makeup remover and for so many other things. It’s superhealthy and so convenient to have at home and also works for both baking and cooking.



Salads; Everyone knows how healthy it is to eat greeny leafes but not everyone likes salad a lot, (I used to be one of them). Now I eat more salad then ever due to that I started to mix different cheeses, dried fruits, nuts and dressings to mix a tasty salad that is not only healthy but that actually has a lot of calories that makes you feel full.



Squats; there is a 9 minute video I like from youtube and it’s so easy to do at home. I also downloaded a app with a 30 day squat challenge so I can easily follow how many squats to do per day. It’s almost summer so time to start the challenge tomorrow 😉


Take away coffee/tea mug; I love those take away mugs so you can prepare your coffee or tea at home and take it with you to work or to the beach maybe 🙂



Beachwalks; living so close to the beach and with this nice weather it’s time to start powerwalking again 🙂


Nuts; for the moment I am very addicted to pistachios, which is really good because they are superhealthy and contains a lot of iron and antioxidants!



Good morning Sunday! The weather looks as beautiful as yesterday but I am not sure what we are gonna do today? I’ve been up early fixing a little in the flat and soon I’m gonna prepare our Sunday bacon breakfast as we always have on weekends. I love bacon, egg and fresh baguette on weekends, and some nutella on the side 🙂

Friday evening we went to my boyfriend’s friends house and had a chill sushi night. They made all the sushi themselves and it was tasty and beautiful decorated 🙂


Yesterday me and my boyfriend went to the beach after breakfast as the weather was really lovely, spring- but almost a little summerfeeling as well. We walked so much, all the way from home down to the beach, we walked all the beachway and to Maremagnum (the shopping center) so yes we got a lot of exercise! We stopped for lunch at the beach at the organic wokplace and had a greencurry spicy chicken wok with coconut milk. It was a supernice day and it was around 20 degrees so most people had no jackets and people were in bikinis taking sun at the beach. It really feels like the summer is gonna be here in no time 🙂




This afternoon after work I met a friend at the shoppingmall and we went to have a frozen yoghurt ( I’ve had a craving for that all week). The strawberries had finished so we had to choose dulce de leche as topping, which is a thick caramel sauce, it’s supersweet but good 🙂 It’s always nice to do something after work especially when you finish early and today was really nice weather as well. When I came home I was supertired so I got so happy when my boyfriend ordered my favourite food – sushi! We tried a new sushiplace with Just Eat (the app) and the sushi had really good quality and came delivered all in pink. I have to say that the app works supergood, especially for those evenings when you have sushi cravings 🙂


Sunday Funday

It’s Sunday again and as always the weekend went by so fast. I slept so good last night in our new bed and woke up early to have nutellasandwich and tea with milk and later on a baconbreakfast. I love Sunday breakfasts and to relax with some netflix and chocolate in the sofa.

Yesterday I went out with a friend of mine to see the Swedish final for the Eurovision. First we went to a bar beside called Barcelona Beer Company to just have some patatas bravas and they were delicious. When we finally went to the bar to see the final all the artists had already sung so we kind of missed the whole thing 🙂 But, we had still time to do the eurovision quiz which was very funny but I was really bad at all questions, I haven’t followed Eurovision in a really long time.



The other day I went to the hairdresser to just cut my splits (which is now my new favourite hairdresser here in Barcelona). It was my second time there and this time I was also able to enjoy their massagechair whilst getting schampooed (as last time I chose to skip the massage due to I was pregnant). The massagechair gives a relaxing back and leg massage and at the same time it does aromatherapy with different colours whilst you listen to sounds of the nature. It ‘s so relaxing and it actually feels more like you are in a massageplace then at the hairdresser :). The girls working there are incredible attentive and kind, and ask all the time if you need anything, another magazine, a coffee, and it’s not very common with so good service in Barcelona. As my hair tends to get very dry I decided to try their treatments, one with protein and one to hydrate, so first they massaged the products into my hair for a long time and then they put a heat treatment for about 20 minutes. When she washed out the masks she did another headmassage before she cut the hair. After the cut you can choose if you want to have curls or straight hair or anything else and they style it for you. So for the second time as my hair is super straight I chose curls again and they make it so beautiful. In the end it was a bit expensive but it was really worth it 🙂
