Sunshine

What a beautiful weather we had this morning! The sun was shining, clear blue sky and it was warm, about 15 degrees. The apartment we are renting here in Garmish is in a shared house, those typical German houses you see in movies that looks very idyllic. This morning we had breakfast in our little garden with the mountain in the background, it’s just so beautiful and so peaceful. When you live in a flat in the city you really appreciate the nature so much more.

Last ski day

Yesterday we went back to the slopes after having chocolate chip pancakes with nutella for breakfast. We had a few hours skiing in the afternoon and it was extremely hot as the sun was shining all day. I’m not sure I improved my skiing a lot, but at least I moved from the first kids slope to the second one, and in the end I went up to the third kids slope, but then it happened, I fell 😉 But, I had a perfect ski day 🙂

We had a nice lunch in the same lunch place as the other day, I tried goulash soup with bread which I thought was surprisingly good as it was a bit spicy. Then we had a coffee outside on the terrace, but I have to say coffee with milk is not the same here as we drink in Spain, we got a full black cup of coffee and a little cream on the side:) However, the view was priceless. We ended the night with champagne.

Lovely day

Today we woke up super early again and we went to Garmish center whilst the others went to ski. Garmish is a very cute little town full of painted houses just beside the mountains. When you walk around there it really looks like a painting with the white mountains in the background, it’s so beautiful!

We stopped for a early lunch in a café there and had hot chocolate, chailatte, bruschetta with grilled mozzarella, pepper and rucula and lentil soup, the food was so tasty. After we went to pick up the guys from the slopes and we went to the swimmingpools with the kids. We ended the night with mexican food at home, my boyfriends favourite 🙂

German alps

Today was our first ski day in the German alps. We woke up at 07.00, had bacon and egg breakfast with bagel and tea to start the day in the best way possible. We went to rent skis and around 12 we were all ready to start skiing. It was my first time skiing (as I’ve only been skiing in my garden when I was small) so it was a bit hard in the beginning and I didn’t know the boots was so heavy 🙂 But, I got good advise from the little twins how to break and turn and then my boyfriend was my instructor. It was really fun after a while and I guess it’s superfun when you really can ski. The landscape was so beautiful up there and I loved going up in the skilift to see the little town and the mountains full of snow. We had lunch up there and spent a few hours skiing in the children slopes, and then we all took the lift down but my boyfriend went down skiing off course even though it was superhigh up 🙂
