Monday

So this morning I had my first Spanish class and I woke up really early getting ready for “school” starting with a cappuccino 🙂 First we had an introduction, then a welcome breakfast for all new students, and the class was pretty intense since we are only two people in my class, so I had to talk a lot all the time which is exactly what I need to improve. My level was C advanced and I really felt that I will learn a lot even though it’s only 5 days. After the class I went to visit the botanic garden since I had an hour to spend before his mum picked me up for lunch and it was really relaxing and beautiful full of sounds and exotic plants.

Sunday

Good morning! Just came home from a powerwalk with the most beautiful view and fresh sea air. Yesterday I woke up early determined to go walking so I just put my sneakers on and went straight (ate a banana for energy as I need to eat directly when I wake up) and had my “Despacito” song and powerwalked for about 30 minutes, walked down to the beach and ended the walk with squats and stretching. It felt so good so I decided I wanna start my days like that! So this morning I powerwalked 1 hour to the other side where the mountains are and it’s just so beautiful and relaxing to start the day! It was very hot both yesterday and this morning, about 32 degrees, but at the same time it feels good to sweat like it’s a detox of the body 😊

Tenerife

So I am back again in Tenerife for a little holiday (or maybe not so little with 10 days) to enjoy the summer again a bit and also to do a Spanish intensive course which I am really excited about that starts on Monday. As I have been living in Barcelona a while now, I do understand everything and I do speak Spanish when I want or need to, but, my issue is since I’ve never learned Spanish in a school I have doubts when I speak it if it’s good/bad or if I say the grammatic correct, so I really need to improve it to be able to speak it with confidence therefore a intensive course will probably help me a lot.

I arrived yesterday morning and it was so so windy when we were landing so the plane went from one side to the other (never experienced a more horrific landing) and the plane went down so fast so when we finally landed everyone was like so happy and started clapping a lot😅. It was 33 degrees when his mum picked me up and it really felt like being back in the summer again 🙂 We had some nice seafood paella for lunch and then we drowe to the south of Tenerife to spend the weekend at the beach. So yesterday I spent the afternoon at the beach and it was full of people and the sea was really calm and the weather was almost too hot 🙂

This morning we went to the Palo Alto Market in Poblenou which is foodtruck /vintage Market they arrange the first weekend every month. We were lucky because there is usually a big line to go in but this time it took only 3 minutes 🙂 We had some nice lunch there, I had arepas with chicken and avocado and she had a hamburguer that looked really delicious! There is a lot of food trucks with everything from paella to japanese crepes, but there is also a lot of different things to buy like homemade things in wood, sunglasses, vintage clothes etc. The atmosphere is really cute with trees and today it almost felt like it was summer again 🙂 We ended our afternoon by going to the beach and just had some water at a beachbar, it was a nice Sunday 🙂

Tenerife

We were invited to a wedding in Tenerife so we had a good excuse to travel here for the weekend 🙂 The wedding was really lovely and it was fun to go to a Spanish wedding as I have never been to one before. It was a daywedding so we came at 12 and left at midnight after have been dancing all night! The food was supertasty, small apertisers and drinks in the super hot weather (was very warm all day) and then we had a three course dinner before the dance floor started. The ceremony was really beautiful and a little bit emotional 🙂

Afternoon tapas

The other day after work we went out to have something to eat and tried again those little bruschettas with brie and salmon (so yummie), and the other day we made them at home. We just bought some kind of ciabatta bread and cut in pieces and put in the oven until they got crispy, added oliveoil after, a slice of brie and salmon on the top. So easy to do at home and a perfect snack for when we have guests next time 🙂

Tapas night

Friday evening we had a tapas dinner with friends I haven’t seen in two years so it was very nice to meet again and also to meet their little new family member 🙂 We tried a nice place in passeig Sant Joan (don’t remember the name now) but it was a cozy terrace outside beside the trees and supergood tapas. We had some good wine, Amazing type of patatas bravas, squids, ham, different cheeses..it was all very yummie! The funny thing was that it has been so warm in Barcelona lately, like 36 degrees last week (so we have been living in a sauna) and on Friday was the first day it was actually “cold” and we could have a sweater 🙂 It was honestly so nice with some fresh air, I also love the summer but it has been too hot lately to even sit and have dinner or a glass of wine outside 🙂
