Weight goals

I have decided to gain 4 kilos before the summer. I know it probably sounds odd, usually the opposite what people wants to do just before the bikini season, but for me it is due to health reasons. I need to gain weight to get back to my “normal weight” and to feel “physically healthy” again. Last year before my pregnancy started I was 52 kilos and after everything we went through I went down to 49, then luckily up to 50.5 during christmas, but now I am down on 50 again. My weight goal before the summer starts would be 53,5 or preferable 54 kilos.

For me it is very frustrating to not gain weight easily, the same as for people struggling to loose weight, it’s kind of the same thing and it’s hard, but everything is possible as long as you put your energy and mind into it 🙂 My boyfriend is my cheerleader and he really encourage me to gain weight, making suggestions to do gym (as it’s always better to combine gym +diet) and helping me to be aware that I may be eating too small portions sometimes, so it’s really helpful to have that support 🙂

Small things I have added in my diet to gain weight:

Peanutbutter; it is off course very fattening, but it’s also superhealthy if you buy a natural peanutbutter without sugar and palmoil.

Nuts as snacks; nuts are incredible healthy and the best is that they are full of calories, I love walnuts, pistachios, cashews, almonds and sunflowerseeds which are all also good for the skin and hair.

Coconutoil; I try to eat a spoon a day with greek yoghurt for example, it’s also supergood for my skin and overall health.

Almondmilk; I have it in my tea or in a smoothie, it’s not as healthy as people think it is as it contains a lot of sugar so it gives a lot of extra calories.

Bread; I love baguettes which are really not the healthiest options of breads, but every morning I start with oatbread which also contains a lot of fiber and not so much carbs, but I try to eat some kind of bread to every meal during the day to get some extra calories.

Pasta; I love pasta, but especially pasta with cheese or any cream sauce like pasta carbonara, it is a perfect meal for those who want to gain weight.

I also think that the best thing is not to stress about it because sometimes stress can have the opposite effect. Still eat healthy, but bigger portions and lots of snacks 🙂 The last few days though I have been eating a lot of chickenwings, nachos, bacon and hamburger so hopefully that helped my weight goal a little 🙂



Pregnancy post 1

I started this blog last year to blog mostly about my pregnancy mixed with health and wellness posts, but unfortunately as we started to get bad news along our pregnancy journey, I wanted to avoid to write anything about it until I knew what was gonna “happen”. It’s still very recent that our baby girl was stillborn (in week 28+3) so for me it is the most sensitive subject I am gonna blog about, but I am gonna make a try as I think it can be helpful for others who unfortunately has been in the same situation as us or a similar one. It seems to be a taboo today to talk about childloss which actually is the hardest thing a parent can go through, so if my blog can help any pregnant woman or any partner in this situation it would make me happy.

After the birth I got a syndrom called Hellp Syndrom, which is a life-threathening pregnancy complication for both the mum and the baby, not even the doctors themselves know really the reason why it occurs. So I’m gonna write a few blog posts about my pregnancy and about the disease from my own experience and perspective.

When me and my boyfriend started to plan to get pregnant there really wasn’t anything more we wanted then to find out I was pregnant, so the day we did the test together in our bathroom was the most nervous thing I’ve ever been through! 2 days before that we were out with our friends having sushi and wine talking about babynames and since I didn’t know if I was pregnant or not I decided not to eat sushi or drink anything just in case we would be lucky this month. And we were lucky. The luckiest. I have never been so happy in my life as that day when it showed us on the test; Embarazada 2-3 (pregnant 2-3 weeks). It was the best feeling in the world to know that we were gonna be parents!

3 months later we published our announcement on Facebook with the cutest picture we took at the beach with our flipflops and a pair of baby flipflops in the middle that we were expecting our baby in February 2017. (Everyone recommended us to wait until 3 months had passed to tell the world and I think it’s a good idea as most miscarriages happens before 12 weeks so it’s just harder in case anything goes wrong if everyone knows). The happiness bubble we were in back then was amazing and cannot be described enough with words, I just felt so blessed everyday I woke up together with my boyfriend and the little one that was growing inside. 2+1 was gonna be 3 🙂

Today Sunday was my second visit at Can Dendé brunchplace with 6 girlfriends from work. It’s amazing that we finally managed to meet All of us at same time since we always work different weekends or hours. The brunch was supernice, I had bagel with smoked salmon, cremecheese & spinach and with raffles potatoes, so yummie. The girls had poached eggs with bacon or salmon and pink lemonade in marmelade jars. The first time we were there was in November and then I had pancakes with banana and nutella so it was more like a dessert 🙂 It is a very small but cozy place and you have to wait at least one hour for a table but I think it’s worth it. They make the most beautiful coffee!
