A healthy icecream option I make sometimes is homemade banana icecream. It’s delicious and has only one ingredient; bananas! It’s so easy and you only need three things to make it: 1: riped bananas (due to they have more flavour), 2: a plastic box for the freezer, 3: a handmixer or a blender. I always cut the bananas in small pieces and put in the freezer and when they are more or less frozen I use a handmixer because it goes faster (and less dishes) and I just mix until it has a creamy consistent and then it’s ready to eat 🙂 I think it taste lovely on it’s own, but it’s possible to add cacao, coconut or whatever flavour you want to add. Tonight’s dessert 🙂
The other day I read that popcorn is one of the few new members of superfood. I never thought that popcorn were unhealthy (only the sugar ones) but on the other side I didn’t expected it to be so beneficial for our health. I really love popcorn and the other day when we went to the cinema it felt wrong not to buy popcorn, because it fits so good together with a movie. The only thing is that you need to pop the popcorn yourself in a pan and without any oil and with as little salt as possible for the popcorn to benefit your health. Apparently popcorn are loaded with antioxidants, it lowers the blood pressure, contains B-vitamins and lowers bad cholesterol. Popcorn is a whole grain (unprocessed) and in recent studies it has even showed to prevent cancer and heart diseases. So I think it’s the perfect snack we can enjoy without feeling guilty eating too much 🙂

The winter is almost over luckily and soon the springweather will start 🙂 My skin gets so dry in the winter even though I use a lot of oils and creams but I have been a bit lazy to exfoliate and do peelings so now it’s time to start with drybrushing instead to get a nice soft skin for the summer. Last year I bought a new drybrush (the same one I had used before from a shop called Sabon and it has natural bristles so it works really good. The best time to drybrush the body is in the morning (if you have time of course) but it only takes 5 minutes and it energizes the whole body and makes the skin much more glowing. The most important when drybrushing is to always brush against the heart so that the lymphsystem get rid of all the toxins and also to not brush too hard so the skin gets damaged (+ I never use it in my face). I started with drybrushing after reading Miranda Kerrs morning routine and I have to say it really makes your skin more glowing as it does exfoliate the whole body more than any peeling I have tried. For best results I also use almondoil or coconutoil after to get extra soft.
So the other day I bought a lamp for our bedroom that is a pink crystal made of himalayan salt. I had read that this kind of lamp cleanse the air, reduce allergies, improves your sleep + your mood and also if you Google it there is a lot more health benefits. Pretty cool for just a lamp:) I also love it because it gives the room a beautiful glow, like a golden orange colour 🙂
Good morning! I can’t believe I’m up so early and blogging 🙂 Woke up at 06.30 and started with my old routine again; hot water with lemon and honey before breakfast, and it was my boyfriends idea so I love that he also drinks it now so I have a reason to wake up before he goes to work and prepare it. In the past I used to drink this every morning and I always got compliments on my skin so I am happy to start with it again and hopefully my skin will look much better as well.
About my new routine with lemonwater, it’s just so beneficial for your body and it’s just half of a lemon and you can add honey if you want or cinnamon, ginger or just mix all of the ingredients, the water should not be boiling hot as then it actually takes away most benefits. The lemonwater works to flush out lots of toxins from the body and it’s especially good just after we wake up so it’s detoxifying before we start our new day. It’s also diuretic so it eliminates extra fluids in the body, it increases the metabolism which means that it actually can burn fat, it increase protection for allergies such as pollen, it relieves soar throat, cough and constipation and it can help to prevent urineinfections and acne. It really is a cheap and easy way to detox your body 🙂
If I have some lemon left over I also mix it with sugar to exfoliate my face once a week and after I put on some coconutoil to feel supermoisturized.
This morning I did a smoothie to boost my body as I think I’m getting a cold. Poor my boyfriend already got sick so yesterday I gave him a drink of hot water, half of a lemon, turmeric, cinnamon and honey and hoped it will help him a little. It boosts the immunesystem as turmeric is anti-inflammatory, but the best result is to drink it everyday and also in advance to prevent flues and colds. Turmeric is one of the best spice for almost everything so I’m gonna start adding it more in food and smoothies.
Today my boosting smoothie was made of; organic oatmilk (I usually don’t care to buy organic but this was the only one they had with oats), turmeric, cinnamon, strawberries, banana and fresh ginger. I usually make it with milk but oatmilk is a healthy option.
